Accounting Clerk
Description of Role
The incumbent is responsible for coordinating stock taking for certain areas on the University College campus, reconciling bank accounts monthly, preparing journals and providing audit schedules for specific accounts.
Requirements
- Diploma in Business Administration
- 5 CSECs (must include English Language and Mathematics)
- Familiar with auditing and stocktaking procedures
- 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Working knowledge of relevant computer applications (ACCPAC Inventory Module, Microsoft Office)
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of record keeping
- Comprehensive knowledge of inventory control procedures
- Knowledge of principles and practices governing systems of accountability
- Good analytical, planning and organizing skills
- Good communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff.
- Excellent time management skills
- Demonstrate strong computing skills and the ability to learn systems quickly
