Clerical Assistant / Cashier


Description of Role

This position is responsible for the prompt and accurate processing of student accounts, departmental deposits and various cash disbursements. The incumbent is also the custodian of Petty Cash.


Requirements

  • Diploma Business Administration
  • 5 CSEC Subjects including Mathematics and English
  • Ability to work in ACCPAC
  • Customer service training
  • Use of the School Management System (SMS)
  • 2 years’ working experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical and clerical principles generally acquired through a high school education.
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Sound knowledge of ACCPAC
  • Ability to learn and apply generally accepted accounting method
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Ability to prepare required reconciliations
