The Mico University College establishes a Foundation of America

In May 2018 the University College established the Mico University College Foundation of America (MUFCA) in the United States of America. This initiative was successful with the help of members of the 1962 batch led by Leo Chambers, Owen James, and Ayton Taylor along with Pro-Chancellor and Board Chairman Prof. Neville Ying.

MUCFA is an IRS approved 501 (c) (3) non-profit organizations, registered in the State of Illinois, U.S.A. Its purpose is to provide perpetual financial and expertise support to the University College. Donors of funds, gifts, goods and services to the institution via MUCFA, are therefore able to claim the relevant tax deductions depending on the applicable laws in the country of origin.

Mrs. Sharon Wolfe, Director of Alumni and Development noted that, “All alumni, regardless of their location, as well as all MOSA chapters, can utilize MUCFA to contribute to the long term viability and enduring legacy of our alma mater with renewed vigor and on a much broader scale.

The Board will be duly constituted and the process to tap into all available resources will be shared to ensure the building the sustainability of the University College. The website has been launched and can be accessed at www.mucfa.org. The foundation will be hosted in Lake Mary, Florida.
