To the Graduating Cohort of 2022 Congratulations on your academic achievement. You have made it!! You have “made it” at a particularly challenging time… a time characterized by increased uncertainties and unprecedented change. Despite all this, you have manuevered well and achieved victory, exhibiting courage and diligence in the process. The adage “hard work leads to success” is one you can use as your mantra, which would serve you well. The Mico University is proud to have equipped you to support and enhance national and regional development. Do so, with enthusiasm, pride, professionalism, and excellence reflecting the spirit of this noble institution that “whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might”.

Candidate Congratulations to the graduating class of 2022 on your outstanding achievement. You successfully navigated your way through the uncharted waters of completing your studies during a global pandemic. You showed tenacity and resilience as you overcame obstacles that none of us ever imagined. We are extremely proud of you. In the Faculty of Humanities and Liberal Arts we emphasized hard work, professionalism and creativity: these attributes are of paramount importance to navigate the educational landscape in this 21st century. We are confident that you have been equipped with the requisite knowledge, skills and competences that are needed to address the many challenges you will encounter. We know that you will positively impact lives, challenge norms and bring about positive social change. Class of 2022 Congratulations! To the Graduating Class of 2022, you are a special class. You have had to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic and its global impact and you have shown great tenacity, fortitude, resilience and perseverance. Despite the shifts in your academic and personal lives, you all made it. The Faculty of Science and Technology truly wish you the best in your future endeavors. Remember to never accept the status quo, always ask questions, be critical in your thinking, and always bring your true authentic self to every room and conversation. In the words of Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Change the word, but never be changed by the world. How do I fulfil the requirements to Become a Graduand?

Students must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible for graduation.

  1. Meeting the Matriculation requirements for entry to The Mico Programme of study they pursued
  2. Successfully completing all courses associated with the programme of study
  3. Meeting the GPA requirements for an award
  4. Meeting the credit requirements for an award
  5. Registered students at the institution in the year prior to graduation
  6. In good academic standing with the institution

Graduation Photo Schedules

Graduation photos will be taken by Bryan’s studio on the campus of The Mico University College. The dates are as follows:

Thursday November 24, 2022 @ 1:00am – 6:00pm

Friday November 25, 2022 @ 1:00 am – 6:00pm

Saturday November 26, 2022 @ 9:00am – 2:00pm

Collection of Certificates

  • For graduates attending the ceremony, their certificates will be collected on graduation day.

  • For graduates not attending the ceremony, their certificates will be collected December 5th - December 16th 2022 between 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Rehearsal Dates

Monday (Students) November 28, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday (Platform Party) November 29, 2022 @ 11:00 am

Payment Options

Collection of Regalia

The academic dress for graduands of The Mico University College includes the University Gown with appropriate Faculty Hood and Mortar Board.

  1. Graduands attending the ceremony can collect their gowns as at week of November 21, 2022, between the hours of 9:00am – 2:00pm.
  2. Mortar Boards - Graduands are required to collect their mortar board on the day of the ceremony from the Student Services Department.
  3. Graduands will wear their rented gowns, and hoods on the day of the ceremony.

NB. Graduates should not launder gowns/hoods as these are laundered prior to distribution.

Returning Of Gowns

All gowns MUST be returned to the Mico Foundation to receive the 50% reimbursement.


Each graduand that will be attending the ceremony will be allowed to be accompanied by a maximum of three (3) guests.
