Participants will be exposed to the main theories of grief and bereavement, the connection between grief, bereavement, developmental level and gender, strategies for managing grief and bereavement and the use of grief and bereavement assessment instruments. The course comprises four (4) Units. The content has been designed to facilitate the sequential development of concepts and skills through investigation, integration and scaffolding. During the course, participants engage in a variety of self-directed individual and group based activities, discussions, simulations, document preparation and oral presentations.
